ABOUT

With over 10 years of experience, Chris Miller has provided his unique blend of lighting, look development, compositing, technical art, virtual production, and on-set and film expertise for companies such as THE THIRD FLOOR, Reel FX, Corgan Associates, and Brazen Animation. During his journey as a "Career Learner and Problem Solver" (as he would call it), he's discovered his true love lies in collaborating with other artists and utilizing his leadership traits and people's skills to support others in creating and delivering the best work possible.

After graduating from UT Dallas' Arts and Technology program in 2014 with a dual focus in lighting/compositing for animation and sound design/music production for games, Chris immediately jumped into the world of feature-length animation, contributing as a lighting/compositing artist on Reel FX's 'The Book of Life', 'Rock Dog', 'Sherlock Gnomes', and 'UglyDolls'. He continued to develop his eye and attention to detail as a look development and compositing artist in the world of architecture and product rendering at Corgan Associates, Sector 5 Digital, Green Grass Studios, and Harper House.

Chris was thrust into the world of real-time and virtual production in 2019 while working as a Virtual Production Operator (and real-time compositor). During this time, he used his experience with lighting, look dev and compositing while working on-set on a variety of virtual production projects, and providing services such as real-time green screen lighting and keying, real-time compositing and color grading, AR integration, video I/O engineering and color management, talent and set lighting, camera operating and tracking, and techvis and execution with XR and LED volumes.

For the last four years, Chris has worked as an Unreal Engine TA, TD and Virtual Production Lead at THE THIRD FLOOR, Inc., on a variety of feature films and TV shows.

In his spare time, Chris enjoys training and running ultramarathons, rock climbing, seeing friends, playing saxophone, and eating entire bags of Chesters Hot Fries (not in any particular order).
